7 Things to Consider Before You Buy A Pre Made Shopify Dropshipping Store

Premade Shopify stores are the rave of the moment in the dropshipping business today. And rightfully so, these custom-built dropshipping stores come with numerous advantages.

Pre made ecommerce websites help you save the time, energy, and resources you would have spent learning, researching about the market, and finding your feet in the business.

However, as rosy and easy as it sounds, there are certain factors that you should bear in mind before buying the pre-built dropshipping store. Here are 7 of the biggest things You should consider before you decide to purchase a pre-built ecommerce website.

1. Do You Have Time To Run A Successful Shopify Dropshipping Website?

Buying a premade dropshipping store is not something you do once and then forget.

By buying a pre-built Shopify store, you can skip the time-consuming setup process, however, you still need to put in hours every day to manage your online store, answer emails, fulfill orders, talk with suppliers, expand & scale, etc.

Ensure that you have enough free time to run the dropshipping business, else your investment in the premade dropshipping store will simply go to waste

2. Is Shopify Dropshipping Really Meant For You?

Dropshipping can be very stressful. When I first started dropshipping, I thought it would be a fun side hustle, and also a get-rich-quick scheme.

However, lo and behold, it's not.

Buying a pre-made ecommerce website is like buying a building, you still have to furnish the building and add necessary fittings and furniture to inhabit and enjoy the building.

Just imagine having to answer hundreds of emails every day from customers who have been waiting for months to receive their products. You need to spend a lot of hours behind a computer screen, testing different things, burning money, finding solutions to stupid problems such as your Tiktok AD accounts getting disabled, angry customers, inconsistent suppliers etc.

Really, Think about it, is it something you need in your life?

3. Is Shopify Dropshipping Dead or Oversaturated in 2022?

What does oversaturated mean?

There's no such thing as oversaturated. If anything, oversaturated is a good thing!

It means there's a good customer base and that there is money in this industry. It's much easier to break into an existing market that has lots of demand, rather than creating a new one.

People often say that dropshipping is dead in 2022, however, dropshipping is just another form of retail business which has existed for thousands of years and will continue to exist as long as there are consumers purchasing products.

If anything, dropshipping is getting more and more popular due to the pandemic and people are becoming more reliant on e-commerce than ever.

4. A Pre-Built Shopify Dropshipping Store is A Great Way To Start

By purchasing a premade dropshipping store, you can instantly start focusing on marketing & driving traffic to your store.

You don't have to spend hundreds of hours learning Shopify web development, product research, SEO setup, graphics design, Oberlo integration etc. Even if you do decide to do this by yourself, it will probably not be the best at first.

By buying a ready made Shopify website, you can immediately set yourself ahead of the competition and start focusing on marketing. This gives you an edge over your competitors and ensures that you get to the part of dropshipping that deals with generating income and making profits.

5. Don't Buy Your Pre Made Shopify Website from Fiverr

As someone who has been on both ends of the Fiverr market for 5+ years, I can tell you from my personal experience that many sellers on Fiverr simply recycle the same Shopify stores for all clients.

If you look at different sellers on Fiverr and their previous work, you will notice that many stores they create are very similar to each other, and often even include the same text, products, website layout etc. Furthermore, Fiverr sellers often use the default Shopify debut theme and simply copy-paste stores for each customer.

In the worst case scenario, you will receive an identical store to your competitors. That immediately puts you at a large disadvantage in dropshipping.

I know the low prices on Fiverr may seem enticing, but remember, buying a pre- made Shopify business is no place to cheap out.

If you do, however, decide to go with a Fiverr seller, make sure to ask them as many questions as possible. When paying the seller, use Paypal so You are protected in case you get scammed.

You should treat buying a premade dropshipping store as a business investment, so make sure you validate the seller before you purchase.

7. A Pre-built Shopify Store Requires Additional, Monthly Investments

When you buy a pre-built Shopify store, you need to keep in mind that you also need to put money aside for Shopify's monthly subscription fee, which is $29. You also need to purchase a domain, which starts from $14 per year. Luckily, you can do this straight from Shopify without having to work with a third party domain provider.

There are no further investments you need to make, however, we recommend setting aside at least $800 to run paid marketing campaigns, work with influencers, order product samples, try out third party Shopify apps and to have cash flow for order fulfillment.

Considering the fact that a pre-made dropshipping website is like any other business, then $800 is not that large of an investment.

Summary

Buying a pre-built Shopify store makes your life easier as a dropshipper.

However, this doesn’t mean that you can start making money off the store automatically.

Dropshipping requires a lot of daily work, you need to be able to dedicate yourself to the business completely. Remember, the more time and effort you spend learning about dropshipping & ecommerce, the faster You will start earning profits from Your online store.

Dropshipping is not a get-rich-quick scheme, there are many arguments You need to bear in mind before buying the premade dropshipping stores.
